Our article titled 'Highly sensitive and wearable NO2 gas sensor based on PVDF nanofabric containing embedded polyaniline/g-C3N4 nanosheet composites', published in 'Nanotechnology' in 2021 has been well received by the research community as informed by the journal. As a result, in April 2025, I was invited by the journal to contribute a Topical review.
The journal website mentions "Topical Reviews: written by leading researchers in their fields these invited articles present the
background to and overview of a particular field, and report on the current state of the art".

Our Invited article titled 'A new multifunctional energy harvester based on mica nanosheets-dispersed PVDF nanofabrics featuring piezo-capacitive, piezoelectric and triboelectric effects' has been featured in a cross-journal collection celebrating the scientific accomplishments of RSC Fellows (RSC Applied Polymers, DOI: 10.1039/D3LP00080J, online published: 30 August 2023). This work has been highlighted by the Royal Society of Chemistry in their Blog, and the RSC Applied Polymers Showcase. This article has also been included in the new RSC journal collection dedicated to highlighting impactful work taking place across the world to meet the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy)

As confirmed by InTech Author Stats, the invited book chapter “Polymer Nanocomposites: From Synthesis to Applications” (DOI: 10.5772/17039) by S. Anandhan (NITK, India) and Sri Bandyopadhyay (UNSW, Australia), published in 2011 has achieved impressive readership results. The chapter published by InTech in the book “Nanocomposites and Polymers with Analytical Methods” has so far been accessed > 20,000 times. The top downloads of the chapter are from the United States of America, India, China, Islamic Republic of Iran, and Japan.

A paper titled 'Collaboration Trends in National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India: An Analysis Based on Network Mapping', (source: https://digitalcommons.unl.edu/libphilprac/4573) revealed that Prof. Anandhan is among the top 10 most prolific authors of NITK, based on international publications in Web of Science indexed journals and citations received, during 2010-19.
